LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE

We rest on the surface of things, floating. We see little of the deep, of how things shall unfold. Except perhaps the generalities of what has been revealed.
Yet, we are aware that our choices matter. William Kilpatrick writes about choices we all face. Our decisions today are greatly influenced by those we made yesterday and will influence those we make tomorrow. The end result being who we are becoming, our character.
How are we to find resolution in this? We move forward with decisions, the implications of which are a dim, blurry horizon.

Hey John,
Good to see you are posting again. i'm guessing you've reached your destination. Hope all is well and you are enjoying your family.
i like your post about decisions. i guess that's why i'm a free will theist. Whatever our theology, it seems that we have to live like this, with our own limited ability to know the future, yet the necessity to make decisions which influence it's outcome, for good or for bad. It's both scary and adventurous.
I just wonder how much character development a person really needs...
okay, right, until we resemble Jesus. Guess I have a ways to go!
